Moiseeva with Uliana Vasilyeva at third, Galina Arsenkina and Julia Guzieva on the front end take home the $6,000CDN first place cheque along with 26.010 world ranking points, while Pewarchuk receives $3,500CDN and 20.436 world ranking points for their second place finish.
Starting with hammer, Moiseeva scored 1 in the first end, then added a steal of 2 in the second end. After a blank end, Moiseeva stole 3 in the fourth end, and stole 2 more in the fifth end for handshakes and the early 8-0 win.
In the semifinals, Moiseeva defeated Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) 7-6 and Pewarchuk defeated Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, Japan) 4-3. Brown and Fujisawa earned $2,000CDN and 15.792 ranking points for their semifinal finishes.
